“ My girls and I love us some black sheep! The drinks are so spot on, always well balanced. I've had the fried lamb chops, pork chop and skirt steak. All very good! But I must say the burger is my favorite! It's just sooo good along with the fries. Even the ketchup which is made in house. The vibe in here is always good, we love sitting out doors during the good weather. You can catch a nice sunset out doors during the summer days. Can't wait! ”
“ Nice fresh food here and awesome seasonal specials. We sat at a high top near the bar, only problem with this the bar was getting busy and my chair kept getting knocked into as it's the kitchen walkway a bit of a tight squeeze even after moving all the way in. Opt for the low tables! ”
“ Cute restaurant with a good cocktail/wine menu. I had the day special which was fish and chips and the fish was nice and fresh and chips had a good crunch just the way I like them! We also had the delicate squash rings which I've never had before but they were so yummy. Will definitely go back! ”
“ I've been here a few times now and am really impressed. It's a good place to go if you want a good mocktail, and their pasta dishes are solid. The pappardelle with cocoa rubbed boar shoulder was delicious, they serve a generous portion and I loved the delicious San marzano sauce. The ricotta gnocchi is always a hit. Budino was a little overly sweet, I probably wouldn't get it again. The service was friendly and attentive. Cozy inside ”
“ Went for an anniversary celebration and they really made sure to make it special. The bartender was playing host and gave a round of champagne for the table. The food was all very delicious and our waiter was wonderful. I would love to try the steak next time since I was told that's where they shine here. ”
“ Been looking forward to trying Black Sheep for a few months and finally went in NYE. We had a 8pm reservation and were sat on time at a high top. The vibe inside was modern and dark, and they have a cool bar. Our server was good and knowledgeable about the menu. For apps we had the squash rings and mussels. I had the steak with Rojas salsa for dinner and my wife had the lobster pasta. All pasta is made fresh in house. Overall the food had great flavors and you can tell everything is super fresh. Drinks were well crafted as well. ”
“ I was absolutely floored by Black Sheep! From the dimly lit, gorgeous ambience to the immaculate service, to the incredible food-- absolutely a place worth checking out. The cocktails were absolutely delicious; well-balanced and made super well. There's a mix of classics and more innovative drinks. I had a sort of Sazerac which was divine. The food was also incredible. We started with scallops with pork belly and wow. Absolutely delicious. We ordered a steak for two and it was one of the best I've had in the area. They partner with local butcher shop DeRosa so their meats are really good quality. We also ordered broccolini on the side which was super good. Risotto with crab was unreal. The tiramisu at the end was also SO GOOD. All in all, one of the best dinners I've had in awhile and would absolutely 100% return. ”
“ This is one of the better restaurants in the area. Menu was very innovative and balanced. Everything was delicious, portions were good but not overly generous. Ordering delicious sides was a good strategy. Staff were very courteous and competent. In colder months the seating is limited due to unavailability of outdoor seating. We were seated 10 minutes late but management was extremely sympathetic and did their best to move things along. Deserts were marvelous and too good. It's a small but modern space but we felt very comfortable. We will not hesitate to return. ”
“ Every time I am at my hair salon at Salon One Twenty Two in Roselle Park. The Owner, staff and clients are raving about The Black Sheep! I decided to make reservations! Hubby and I arrived 450pm and were able to sit at the bar and got one drink each during their happy hour! My cocktail was AMAZING!! The Junglebird!! Cheers!! Love that the top shelf of the bar had books! The bartender informed us that our bar tab would be transferred to our dinning tab! I like that!! We were seated in the dinning area! We met our Server Connor D. He was welcoming and knew the menu well! Appreciated his recommendations! We said we were sharing the Cesar salad- it was served on 2 plates! Appreciate that! Flavorful salad! I had the special The cottage pie with short rib, mashed potatoes and corn bread. Served pipping HOT! Such savory goodness in every bite! Highest compliment to the Chef and Kitchen Brigade!! For dessert I had the budino. Perfect sweet treat to eat the night! Connor, thank you for a lovely dinning experience! Noticed the menu was dated- so thoughtful planning for daily menus! Recycled the menus with their plating! Good for the environment!! Parking lot available. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Suggest you make reservations! Almost every table was taken!! See you soon!! Highly recommend! ”
